NOISE City Guide 2007: Let us show you Lansing

Published August 22, 2007 Welcome to NOISE’s annual City Guide issue - now online and searchable.
You’ll find more than 280 restaurants, bars, hangouts and stores throughout the Lansing area that caught our eye and won our hearts. You'll find links at the right that'll take you through the different categories. Once you pull up a search window, if you don't find something you like, you'll see a search widget in the upper right corner that'll allow you to search by city or by category.
Also, the City Guide can now be downloaded to your iPod. Here's how: 1. Get the zip file at the right and unzip it (double-clicking should do the trick). This will create a file on your Desktop called "NOISE City Guide 2007." 2. Connect your iPod to your computer. On a Windows machine, it should appear in "My Computer." On a Mac, it should appear on your desktop. 3. Open the iPod drive, open the "Notes" folder and drag the "NOISE City Guide 2007" folder into the "Notes" folder. 4. To view it, dismount and disconnect your iPod. Go to the main menu, then select "Extras," then "Notes," then "NOISE City Guide." It might take a short while to load, but this should only happen the first time or when the bar guide is updated. Navigate through the information by using the scroll wheel and buttons.
We encourage you to explore the online NOISE City Guide. And note that while the guide is extensive, there are a few places that may have slipped under our radar. Also, with the City Guide, we really try to focus on local restaurants, bars and businesses. Nothing against the bigger chains (we have a list of ones we like too), but we just want people to consider exploring these places first.
If you want to be considered for the NOISE City Guide (we'll be adding items at our discretion throughout the year) or know of a place that should, let us know. Or if you find something that doesn't work or if you're a business that we featured and we have incorrect info, let us know and we'll fix it. You can contact me at bfisher@lansingnoise.com or 702-4238 to make that happen.
We hope you enjoy this year’s NOISE City Guide. We've worked hard to make it as user-friendly as possible and a resource you'll come to rely on throughout the year. Let us know what you think.
