Spotlight: Gil Mantera's Party Dream
Mac's Bar

| NOISE
Idiosyncratic and willfully weird, Gil Mantera's Party Dream takes punk rock to a new level of craziness. The band is known for its random costumes and outrageous stage stunts, as well as its catchy, danceable songs. Love it or hate it, it's pretty hard to deny that GMPD brothers Ultimate Donny and Gil Mantera are true entertainers with a lot of talent. The guys played Mac's Bar in January, and they're back Thursday for an encore. But don't expect this show to be like last time. "We can do 200 shows in a row and I'll have different stuff come out of my mouth every time - sometimes magical stuff and sometimes crazy stuff that makes me mad that it even came out of my mouth," Donny said. "But our shows will always be different enough. There are people who have seen us 10 to 15 times and are still excited to come every time." • Gil Mantera's Party Dream, more • 9 p.m. Thursday, November 5
• $12 at the door • Mac's Bar, 2700 East Michigan Ave., Lansing, 484-6795
